SONG OF A
THOUSAND
LEAVES
Flame
Devon, UK 2015
This song was originally written in four-part vocal harmony for choirs and singing workshops. A big thank you to the amazing Michael Stanton for helping turn it into this musical journey, words cannot capture the gratitude I have for you and all you have put into the creation of this album.
And thanks to the amazing Su Hart of Baka Beyond for gracing this track with her ‘rainforest singing’ and likewise to the incredible Seckou Keita for featuring so spectacularly on this song.
Listen deeply
A flame in the centre of the storm
She sings in silence
Inside the ocean of my soul
Voices rise and weapons fall and
Nations unite, across the world and
Songs of peace at the heart of every land
