SONG OF A
THOUSAND
LEAVES

Music

Devon, UK 2009

I am so happy to be playing the bouzouki on this album! I have only written two songs on this beautiful Greek/Irish instrument, and it brings me a lot of joy that this simple ditty is in this collection. Nothing much to be said as it speaks for itself,  an ode to my beloved Spirit of Music!

Music if I could see you
You’d blind me so for all that you are
Music if I could touch you
You’d run in gold to my heart
With every note, you sing to me louder
With every breath, I fall into thee deeper

And music if I could taste you
I’d swallow the world and never be full
Music if could paint you
I’d open the eyes of all the people
With every note, you sing to me louder
With every breath, I fall into thee deeper

Music if I could plant you
The fruits you bare would heal my pain
Music if I could carve you
Your shape would twist and fold and change
With every note, you sing to me louder
With every breath, I fall into thee deeper

Music if I could sing you
I’d show the world all that you are
Music if I could share you
I’d bring all the people’s love together!
