SONG OF A
THOUSAND
LEAVES
Seekers
Thailand 2014
This song came pouring out with no thought or a moment to question it. I ‘wrote’ it while studying Agama Yoga on Koh Phangan, Thailand and a few of the lyrics came directly from talks during the course ‘Aspiration is the flower of our souls’. I learned to work hard and be disciplined, in some ways I now see all of that might just have been trying too hard. I don’t totally agree with all the lyrics of this song now ‘Seek and you shall find’, but love how it concludes with ‘Everything that I seek I can find it inside’, a line I wrote a few months afterwards when I realised there was more to the picture than just striving to be free.
Seekers, you shall find
Seekers, you shall find
Be brave in your suffering
And choose evolution
Take time in your contemplation
And you shall find
Seekers, you shall find
Seekers, you shall find
Aspiration is the flower of our souls
And ask it shall be given
A tree by its fruits it shall be known
Seekers, you shall find
Seekers, you shall find
Looking deep, looking deep
Diving
No need to speak, no need to speak
‘Cause I’m diving
Looking deep, looking deep
Diving
No need to speak, no need to speak
‘Cause I’m diving
I ask nothing in return for this love
And I ask nothing in return for this love
I ask nothing in return for this love
And I ask nothing in return for this love
There is nowhere to run
There is nowhere to hide
Everything that I seek
I can find it inside
There is nowhere to run
There is nowhere to hide
Everything that I seek
I can find it inside
There is nowhere to run
There is nowhere to hide
Everything that I seek
I can find it inside
There is nowhere to run
There is nowhere to hide oh
Seekers, you shall find
Seekers, you shall find
Seekers, you shall find
Seekers, you shall find
